Hallauer House
Bed & Breakfast
in Oberlin Ohio is a small, historical Bed and Breakfast Inn that features just 3 guest rooms but what is lacking in number of rooms, is made up for in ambiance, amenities, historical presence, friendliness, helpfulness, and gracious hospitality. The perfect eco-friendly hotel/motel alternative for overnight accommodations!
We are located in Pittsfield Township just 3 miles south of Oberlin College campus and the historic town of Oberlin, Ohio which some refer to as 'the town that started the Civil War.' With that in mind. we have combined the history of Oberlin and the Civil War with the historical artifacts that we have collected over the years to create our Civil War themed 1830 Hallauer House Bed & Breakfast.
We are Oberlin's Historical and Environmentally Friendly Country Inn!

April 15, 1861
The tension between the North & South came to a head when President Linclon decided to hold on to Ft. Sumter in Charleston, S.C. Nobody was killed in the battle, but during the salutes of the Confederate victory, Private Daniel Hough was killed and so became the first casualty of the Civil War.
