The Dining RoomCross over through the hallway to the dining room. Here you can only guess as to how many people may have sat at the 1860 table as they ate their meals of the day.
Sit down, relax, and enjoy a complimentary three course breakfast each morning. Dine in formal elegance with fine china and sterling silver while you enjoy the informal atmosphere and the lively conversation between guests and hosts! Sometimes these conversations are so interesting that many guests forget the time and hesitate to leave!
When the sun shines down and warms up the air, this formal elegance is transported out to the pool deck and breakfast can be enjoyed alongside the mini beach or warm inviting swimming pool.

CIVIL WAR HISTORY
THE SOLDIER'S FOOD

Hardtack
A biscuit made of flour, water, and salt that would last for years if properly stored. Made with 16 holes punched with nail - 4 across and 4 down- exactly 1 inch apart. All soldiers were issued a half lb. of beans & peas, bacon, pickled beef, compressed mixed vegetables and a pound of hardtack. The hardtack was as hard as a brick and had to be broken with a rock and then soaked and fried.
